Since its foundation in 1940, SATO has been responding to its customers’ needs for labor saving through the production and sale of bamboo-processing and automatic packaging machinery, and with the invention of a portable price label marking, the hand labeler.

With the development of automatic identification technologies, such as barcodes, 2-D codes, and RFID, SATO has become a manufacturer of automatic identification systems. SATO not only develops and manufactures electronic printers, but also proposes optimal solutions to customers, which combine media supplies, software, and peripheral equipment.

Seventy years after it was founded, SATO remains committed to its mission of achieving precision, labor saving and resources conservation, whilst contributing to society through its unique business model of Data Collection Systems (DCS) & Labeling* to various industries: distribution, manufacturing, food, healthcare, and transport.
